Our Review
The 3.5-litre capacity bowl has been designed to hold large quantities of ingredients, making it easier for you when you need to prepare large portions of food.
Kenwood FPM810 food processor is powered by a 1000 watt motor, which enables you to finely chop food ingredients with a high level of precision and speed without the motor struggling to cope. When using the processor for slicing with the added decorative slice disc, it produces nice evenly thick slices, so is great when preparing a dish that uses sliced food for presentation purposes.
When used to grate foods, especially cheese which tends to stick or clump, the motor has enough strength to power through quickly and easily, with little wastage. This food processor model is ideal for large families where you need to produce large batches of food for your meals.
The thermo-Resist glass can withstand sudden changes of temperature when going from processing hot soup to chilled sauces, which reduces the risk of the glass shattering. Using the mini bowl makes it easier for you to process smaller portions and is ideal for chopping and grinding herbs and spices or for making sauces and salad dressings.
Other Benefits
If space-saving is important to you, then the Kenwood FPM810 Dual Drive System means that the unit combines both processor and blender capabilities that run from the same power base, so you don’t need to buy and store two separate kitchen gadgets, or take up two plug sockets.
A unique and very handy advantage this food processor has over more basic models is the built-in weighing function. This can save you more time, kitchen top space and washing up by not having to weigh your ingredients separately with a set of scales.
The Kenwood-FPM810 model even comes with a folding tool that allows you to prepare cake batter and a bread dough that needs a bit more careful handling than other food processors cannot provide.
Pros & Cons
Review Summary
As with many food processors, there are often downsides that users find negative and one of the most commonly reported complaints is that this is a loud processor. This model has been tested by experts and was found to be louder than most other food processors available in the same category.
Customer feedback has so far been generally positive for the Kenwood FPM810 Food Processor, but other minor gripes reported by users include:
- Found to be poor for chopping raw meat with a tendency to turn it to mush
- Many of the accessories cannot be stored in the box
- The knife blade attaches to the lid when unlocking
- The unit can wobble when processing
However, clean-up is relatively easy with the bowls and blades being dishwasher safe. Users really like the built-in weighing scale, and report that the unit has a good build quality with a sturdy metal casing.
